Fuel Door Mod:

This modification allows you to hang your gas cap strap on your billet aluminum fuel door to keep the cap from scratching the side or your beautiful Cruiser.

Mod can be done to the same type chrome fuel door but it will mess up the chrome on the back side of the fuel door.

It's a very simple mod.

Billet Aluminun Fuel Door Modification

Tools Required:

Dremel Tool
Reinforced Cut-off Wheel (Dremel Part #426)

Note: You could use a small file, it would just take longer.

Cutting slot

Note: Place towels around the fuel door to catch any metal shreds (see next photo). Towel was removed in this photo to get a clearer picture.

Use the Dremel to cut a slot in the bracket on the back of the fuel door.

 

Cut a small slot the width of the fuel cap strap and deep enough to hold the strap.

The cut in the photo is just the begining, I cut about 1/4 inch deep.
