Cabin Air Filter:

I read about the Cabin Air Filter on one of the PT forums and decided to install it on my Cruiser.

I will add more descriptive information later, just wanted to get these pictures posted.

It's a very simple mod.

Enjoy!

Cabin Air Filter Instalation

The air filter is installed in the area of the windshield washer reservoir. First remove the cowling on the left side of the engine (see below).

Remove the three screws on the top and the one one the side (see next picture) of the cowling.

Use very little presure on these screws, just enough to hold the bit in the screw. I tried to unscrew these as you would any screw and they just kept turning in place. They are plastic and will come out if you just barely put any pressure on them.

Removing Cowl
Cowling Side Screw Cowling side screw. Once all the screws are removed lift up on the front of the cowling and pull forward to remove the cowling.
Once the cowling has been removed, unscrew the four screw holding down the washer reservoir.

Washer Reservoir moved up.

Move the washer reservoir up and out of the way. You can now see the location for the air filter. You must remove the unit that is there and replace it with your air filter unit.
